yep, that's WHITE.

white : spring's biggest staple color.
out with all the black...the crisp & fresh new color is showing up from head to toe.
I could not be happier.
white is probably my very favorite color to wear.

with the trendy looks of tailored minimalism and romantic lingerie-inspired looks - spring's hottest color can be incorporated in whatever way you like best:
lace. crochet. draping...denim.classic shirts. elegant dresses.
whatever really goes.

floral gardens

With my anticipation of warmer days, I tend to get ahead of myself.
I am ready.

Spring means warmth, the beginning of a tan, patio weather, and pretty FLOWERS - in nature AND fashion.

{Dolce & Gabbana}

Spring/Summer 2011 Runways were full of inspiration from English country gardens... with items adorned in pretty roses, peonies, freesia, etc. The cheerful trend seemed to go from maxi dresses, peasant blouses & delicate skirts to bright head scarves, girly rompers, & pastel matching wedges.

Dolce and Gabbana was a major fan of the fragrant style, but most of us cannot afford a pair of flowery bubble shorts by DG. Here are a few options that are cheaper...

Take a sweet little escape from this cold wind & stop and smell the roses. Have a wonderful weekend!

70's Revival

my favorite fashion era is making a BIG comeback in 2011 -
the 70's.
there's just something about this laid-back, free-spirited & mellow hippy style that makes me happy.

however, for the most current "look" - it's not at all sloppy - think modernized bohemian mixed with classic staples for a more pulled-together flower child.

pull out vintage pieces and accessories, add some vivid color & bold prints, throw on a big, floppy hat...and turn on some Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin to get ya in the groovy mood.

season premiere : SPRING

{prada : spring/summer 2011}

Yes, it is not even 2 seconds into 2011...and it is still cold outside, but - in my mind - the best part of winter is the fact that Spring/Summer are just around the corner!

While we are all still bundled up and rummaging through after-the-holiday sales...stores are beginning to stock clothing for the warmer weather. I love sunshine, sweating, and even mosquitoes--if it means that the temperature is moving upward. So...get excited with me and get a jump start on your Spring Style...I am loving what the predictions are showing for top trends!

{gucci}
love this color-block look!

{moschino}
mixed prints, bright colors...it's a rainbow.

{louis vuitton}

Bold color, attention-grabbing prints, & 60's - 70's style apparel seem to battle with their opposite for Spring 2011...because along with these styles there are just as many clean, crisp and minimalistic looks to drool over. I love both...so Spring might just be my fashion paradise.

{alberta ferretti}
modern day flower child...long skirts/dresses...my dream come true

{derek lam}
don't throw out the skinnies...but get a wide pair of trousers if ya don't have any.

{donna karan new york}
men's style suiting, crisp whites & neutrals. so fresh & so clean, clean....

Get playful and update your look now - and have your friends eating your "fashion dust"...remember, you don't have to go all crazy-in-the-head with these colorful/printed looks...do what feels comfortable for you - but add a strike of color here and there and just have a little fun!
XOXO
